Encounter - Illinois State Campus Ministry 
View of the Mission
College campuses can be some of the most exciting and difficult years for a college student. During these very crucial years, young people will make many critical decisions concerning career, relationships and direction for their lives. Knowing this, Encounter is a campus ministry which has a goal of bringing college students into a lifelong encounter with Jesus. The ministry has two locations; in the U.S. their ministry reaches students at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
Internationally, Encounter is reaching students in the Philippines for Jesus.
Our Missionaries
United States - Pete and Paulette Cocco
Pete and Paulette Cocco came to work with the ministry at ISU in 1996, after spending a year in Hungary and a year in the Philippines. They have five children - Micah, Mattea, Kordell, Judah and Wren. Paulette works full time with State Farm Insurance. Pete is in his 14th year of campus ministry at ISU.
Philippines - Arnold and Gigi Pasion
Arnold and Gigi Pasion have been at the helm of the campus ministry in Baguio, Philippines since 1996. They have two children, Jared and Jeremiah. Arnold oversees the campus ministry in Baguio and also is the Director of Operations of current and future ministry plants within the Philippines.
Plan of the Mission
Harvest Christian Fellowship has committed to the work of Encounter through sending financial support on a monthly basis as well as partnering with Encounter in events held throughout the year. Each year, Harvest sends teams to Illinois to participate in an annual golf outing to help raise funds for the ministry and encourage students and staff. Our church also finds other creative opportunities to serve alongside this vibrant ministry.
