View of the Mission
Statistics show that if a person has not made a decision for Jesus Christ before they turn 21, than the likelihood of them becoming a Christian lessens each year. Young people are hungering for something beyond themselves. They are looking for a place in this world. They need Jesus. Christ In Youth (CIY) exists to connect young people with Jesus Christ. They seek to provide opportunities for young people to experience God and His Word in a way that transforms their lives.
Our Missionaries
CIY is lead by a staff of over 50 people who work for the ministry full time, plus thousands of volunteers. Andy Hansen, who has a passion for young people, has been its Executive Director for many years.
Plan of the Mission
CIY seeks to connect young people to Christ in three ways: through conferences, service projects and mission trips for them as they stand at the crossroads of their lives. CIY also provides training and resources for the adults who work with the youth. Harvest Christian Fellowship teams up with CIY by sending youth to different conferences throughout the year. Besides attending conferences, we send monthly support which helps with this great ministry.
