When and Where?

I'm New What Do I Do?

We realize that before you visit any church for the first time there are certain things that would be helpful to know.  Here's a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you visit Harvest.  If you don't see an answer to your question here or elsewhere on the website, please contact us in the church office by calling 765.254.1527.

What should I wear?
Dress comfortably.  We are more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear.  While some people do choose to wear their "Sunday best", others wear casual clothing.

When do I need to arrive?
Sunday morning services begin at 10 am.  Plan to arrive a few minutes prior to the service to park and find your way.  Allow extra time if you will be taking your children to a kid's class.

Where do I park?

The parking lot is directly behind the church. Feel free to park in any spot.  Door greeters are available if you need assistance.

Where do I go?
Greeters are located at the doors at the main entrance of the building and are available to direct you to the Sanctuary for worship, to children's classes or to any other area.

What do I need to bring?
If you have a Bible bring it with you.  If you don't have a Bible, copies of the New International Version Bible are located in the Sanctuary at the ends of the pews for your use.

Is the church handicap accessible?
Yes.  There is reserved parking directly in front of the main entrance.  The building is equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances and handicap accessible restrooms located in the gym.

Where do my children go?
Babies up to little ones 18 months old play in the nursery while toddlers 18 - 36 months have fun in the Fishing Pond.  Both of these rooms are located in the hallway connecting the Sanctuary and the gym.

Children ages 3 through 5th grade take part in the Launch Program.  They have children’s worship followed by classes for each age group.  Upon arrival for Sunday service, children ages 3 – 5 go to the Clubhouse Room located in the southwest corner of the gym and those in Kindergarten through 5th grade meet at their designated tables in the gym.

What does Harvest believe?
God is not only the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, but He is the Heavenly Father who loves each of us.  (John 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 4:11)

Jesus Christ is the one and only Lord and Savior.  He was virgin-born, sinless, and died for us on the cross, in our place, to reconcile us to God.  He arose from the tomb, gave us the hope of eternal life, and is coming again.  (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4, 5:1-11)

The Holy Spirit is God and He works in Christians to produce the fruit of Godly character.  (II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-15; Ephesians 1:13; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:22-23)

Salvation is a free gift, bestowed by God’s grace and received by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).  Christians are all sinners saved by the grace of a loving God.  There is no way we can earn salvation, it is free!  Like any gift, it has to be received.  We receive forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ; repentance (turning from sin); confession of faith in Christ; and baptism into Christ.  Immersion in water of a professed believer is Bible baptism (Acts 8:36-39) and such baptism is symbolic of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:1-4).  A believer’s salvation is secured by Christ alone (John 10:27-28).

The church is the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-33) and the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12).  The local church is governed by Godly men (Titus 1:5).  The purpose of the church on earth is to fulfill the last command of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20).

How is offering collected?
The traditional offering collection is not a part of our service.  Instead there is a wooden box located on the information table in the back of the Sanctuary.  Feel free to put your offering to God in this box at any time.

Other - tell us your talent - God can use you!   Sam Wrisley

If you still do not know what your talent is, pray and ask God to show you.  Some people have a natural gift to love and be kind to the sick, others have a take-charge gift, some are very analytical while others have deep compassion or are meant to motivate.

Ask yourself:
1. What are my natural gifts and qualities?
2. What motivates me?
3. What stresses me?

Keep searching and you will find your gift!
